We bet you didn’t know that you can take part in the world’s biggest FREE drawing festival right here in Epsom & Ewell? Well, it’s true.
Back in 2017, Ruth Shepherd (local artist and art teacher) set up The Big Draw Epsom. It aims to promote a passion for creativity and drawing, all the while bringing together our community to create large-scale artwork.
The Big Draw is returning to Epsom on Saturday 5 October and this year it centres around the theme of ‘Drawn to Life’ – make of that what you will, literally.
Anyone and everyone is invited to get involved. Whether you fancy getting stuck in with the communal drawing, picking the brains of local illustrator Cathy Brett or maybe just watching all the fun from a distance.
What’s more, Big Draw’s are happening throughout October, not only in Epsom and Ewell, but across the country – even internationally too! So, take inspiration from The Big Draw Festival patrons, including Quentin Blake, Posy Simmonds and Gerald Scarfe, and prepare to pick up your paintbrush – or whatever artistic tool you prefer…
